"I think it's absolutely true that basically since the Trump American carnage stuff, Fox and a lot of right wing media has been overhyping selectively hyping crime in a way that scares people," he said. "But even if you stipulate 95% of that stuff, that doesn't mean that all of these left wing and mainstream writers who are saying that, you know, it's a myth that crime is a problem aren't wrong to it's first of all, it's not a myth." He continued: "There are neighborhoods that you would not think carjacking would happen and it's happening quite a lot in DC"
