The Importance of Honesty in Early Stages of Investment

There's very little correlation between the hype at the time of investment and progress that's happening at companies. There are a lot of people who I've invested in who haven't even had a fundraising announcement, and they've just been quietly building and growing. Kinsugi is one of those companies where the reason I'm calling them out is it because I'm saying that they're my favorite company. The other thing is I have sort of the, the hindsight of being able to see all of these people who made a lot of big mistakes by dismissing things as having too small of a market.
