Cross AZ Data Transfer Charges Are Increasing Across AWS's Managed Services

AWS' free cross AZ data transfer is annoying and obnoxious in its own right. But where I'm surprised it hasn't become more of a public issue is when this is applied to other vendors, regardless whether or not they're an AWS partner. If you want to run open search yourself, you'll pay a fee to do it. There is no third party vendor that's exempted from the tax on cross AZ Data Transfer.
