What Is a Cactus?

Peyote is a small button-shaped cactus that produces yellow, pink, and white flowers. The psychoactive plant has been used by humans for at least 5,000 years. Besides giving visions, peyote is said to heal scorpion stings, fevers, toothaches, and joint pain.
