The Origins of Emus in Australia

The emu is a large ostrich like flightless bird that's native to Australia. They migrate westward out of drier areas and towards the coast after their breeding season. Emus had been protected under the game activate in 1974, but new legislation listed them as vermin because of their devastating effect on wheat farms. In 1932 20,000 giant kicking running bird vermin descended upon the wheat farms. It was not good for anyone.
