Is There a Plan to Insulate China From the Western Economy?
The United States are heading towards a greater and greater spectrum of sanctions to try to squeeze the Chinese economy. But I would have thought that moving towards a more consumption model, especially when combined with the fact that they've diversified their trade away from developed markets,. it's the sort of thing that's going to help insulate Chinese growth from the wider Western economy. They're going to move toward a more balanced trade, more so focused on the global south. And then they'll move to a more consumption oriented economy.
