When you think about it, like what you were doing as a publicist was shaping stories and telling stories, and that's what you do as a film maker. If you ask any director, young director, what is the piece that theyare scared of, almost all of them will say, talking to actor. But for me, publicity had prepared me to to the actor, to deal with actors and to be comfortable around them. The main thing about being a director is yet tho convince people, or inspire people, to want to do the thing that you need done.
