What's the History of Perfume?
The earliest references that we have to perfumery are from mesopotamia. And really early fragrances were, in the west, we were talking about incenses that might be resins that you would burn. So this was a global trade, probably from quite early on. Yye: If you look at the big geo political shifts over the last few thousand years, perfume as a precious resource and commodity being traded between these civilizations and states.
