The Scottish Parliament Does Not Have the Right to Call an Advisory Referendum

David Cameron and Alex Salmon signed the Edinburgh agreement in 2011. It devolved power from Westminster to Holyrood to have a referendum. But there is now no agreement either between Unionist parties or UK government. The Supreme Court today ruled unanimously that they do not, that that is a reserved matter for Westminster alone.
