The Long Houses of the L.B.K.
The long house is the defining feature of L.B.K. life, says Andrew Keen. The houses themselves were built with rows of large wooden posts leading up to high ceilings. A single family might occupy a long house, or multiple families could live in home. These longhouses would have required a tremendous amount of time and resources to build.
