Patriarchy Is Not About Power Over
Our whole culture is based on this idea right now that if we're not over, we're under. So we lose the idea that intimacy and relationality is a safe thing. We don't really realize that the idea of doing that feels threatening. And again, when we say the patriarchial system, we're not saying this is a man thing. Patriarchy is about power over. It is not about some sort of gender division between men and women. Clearly not.
