Did Father LeMaterer Get Credit for the Idea of an Expanding Universe?

Einstein disliked the idea of a dynamic universe so much that he included an extra term in his equations. The cosmological constant was to counterbalance gravity and keep the universe from either expanding or contracting. LeMaterer did not get credit at this time for the idea of an expanding universe. Edwin Hubble proposed the idea of the expanding universe, but he didn't claim it.
