The Solution to Spiraling Executive Pay Packages
Senior executives packages comprise of a salary, an annual bonus paid in cash. A benefits ackage, including pensions, and most importantly, a long term incentive. The big growth in the value of senior executive's pay packages over the past 15 years is largely attributable to their long term incentives. So i think er that long term incentives are actually one of the causes of inflation and executive pay - rather than a solution.
