The Future of Lithium Hydroxide Production in Australia
Australia has a key role to play, whether it can become a downstream chemical converter. There's a massive debate in every country around the world now about manufacturing and not wanting to have manufacturing in China. I think Australia can deliver a lot into that, into the demand and fill up much needed supply. But if you look at it in terms of costing, you can still build the lithium hydroxide conversion plant in China, or between five and $8,000 a ton of installed capacity. And it's 20 to 30,000 at least everywhere else.
