The Climate Question

CHAPTER

The Cost of Cultured Meat

If we want to reduce our carbon footprints the easiest way as John says is to eat less meat. It's actually reducing the meat rather than the cultured element which is the initial climate benefit. Meat is a really contentious issue in so many ways isn't it? Some people are seriously malnourished and don't get enough protein in their diets. For others it's the total opposite - they're very hungry all the time. There's not one answer but I do think that conventional meat will not be the predominant source of protein long term. The time frame is probably something that is unknown.
