I'm an American and I'd Be Proud to Be a Member of a Small Subgroup
Coming from an Asian family, I could associate myself with the dominant cultural group in the society and not feel embarrassed about that. And there are very few countries where you can actually do that. So I think that that was a tremendous achievement of the United States. But now you're getting these people on the left that say, yeah, I don't want to be an American. I'm proud to be the member of this small subgroup. That's really who I care about because these are people like me.
