Is the Game Industry a Driver of Innovation?

I see huge innovation coming out of the game industry, particularly game industry overlapping with high tech. I think there is a lot more to be gained from squeezing this lemon. And everyone in the world wants those ideas. That's what people are chasing because there isn't necessarily huge change. We're not in the industrial revolution where there's massive change in the whole way we work.
