The Evolution of Brett and the Four Characteristics of Natural Selection

Brett: I just think very frequently we make natural selection more mystical than it really ought to be. That really it's an extension of a very basic process that exists outside of the biological world. The thing that causes the stuff outside your window to look very different is heredity. It's not natural selection because natural selection is a reserved term for biology. But it is selection, the portion of natural selection that is simply the force that sorts things in the universe and decides there will be more of some and less of others.
