The Importance of Mercy

In the parable, Jesus gives five talents to one man and another two. He says according to their individual capacities, it doesn't seem like it would be very merciful or kind to give this man four talents or three talents because you might be setting him up for failure. "He who sins against the greater light shall receive the greater condemnation," verse 3 of gospel states.
