The Relationship Between Baptism and the Eucharist
The Eucharist in a way eating his flesh and drinking his blood is not only right, his earthly flesh and blood, but it's really his resurrected flesh and blood. So the sacrifice is united to the resurrection. We receive the risen humanity of Jesus. The imagery here of John's Jesus' miracle of Canaan is much more present in that understanding. It would be the same within our Roman Catholic tradition that baptism completed when on communion day.
