The Importance of Philosophy

Vikenstein's style is absolutely brilliant as well and here's one of those sections of clarity that I would say has a certain poignancy even through to the today. What he's saying echoes across the decades and speaks directly to us about our circumstance. Although he's talking about epistemology and science he brings it into another realm the very practical world of politics and law. He says there are no objective facts not merely in this particular case but in any other case and that the judge cannot make a factual mistake because he can no more be wrong about the facts then he can be right end quote.
