The Dangers of AI Chatbots
The longer these conversations go on, the more likely it is that they go off the rails. Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott said this kind of thing can happen when you talk to a chatbot over a very long stretch of time. He's worried about misinformation and disinformation as well as manipulation by authoritarian regimes. "I think a lot of people will be manipulated and persuaded to act in harmful and antisocial ways"
