Did Milton Have a Poetic Reputation?
His poetic reputation was really limited at this point. In 1645, he published a collection of poems. But during his life, his celebrity comes from the tracks he writes defending Cromwell's government in Latin for international audience. Right. So he's hypocritical. Yeah.
