The 2% Survival Benefit of SDD in Mechanically Ventilated Critical Ill Patients
The use of SDD was not associated with an increased antibiotic resistance in these patients. The ecological impact of SDD on antibiotic resistance remains uncertainty. John showed this slide looking at the probability of survival, which is 0.12. It's important to understand what a P value means in a clinical trial. But as scientists we generate evidence that speaks to probabilities and not yes or no type answers.
