The Higher Power Is Superstitious

There's this theory that the whole universe is a simulation, right? You know, it's all just run on a big computer or something more of a fact. So what if like the computation for that simulation is offloaded and like divvied up between every living thing in that universe? What if the higher power is just superstitious and it makes us do all of these things to help protect its own superstition? It has a sports team. I'm just going to create a whole fucking species to help me alleviate my superstitions. This guy's wearing the same shirt every week. Like I am compelled to count bricks. That's a lot.
