Derrida's Incest Prohibition and the Split Between Nature and Culture
Derrida says that there is a split between nature and culture. In incest prohibition he asks, does this prohibition actually give possibility to the split? Because it is what it's a part of both. So although Derrida takes aim at Levi's droughts, he sees some kind of benefit to this in thatLevi's droughting recognizes that there is an outside of these binaries. There is a way to ostensibly get outside of the logic that we are meshed in to critique that very logic,. That is the logic ofnature and culture.
