Matthew is a trained scribe, it's basically an accountant so to speak. In the art of Caravaggio, Matthew had a table with his friends, his cronies and they're all counting the money. The way that Jesus is pointing to Matthew is evocative of Adam in the Sistine Chapel. And we're going to get into how Matthew's story of Jesus is good news.
