The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund and Newcastle United
The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, also known as PIF, PIF, bought Newcastle United in 2021 for just over 300 million pounds. The deal was brokered by one of the now co-owners Amanda Stavley who has done deals like this before. Even while Newcastle would be owned by the PIF and a few other small investors, Saudi Arabia would not control it or be involved in running it.
