China's Security Engagement in the Middle East
UJ: In recent years, we do see China becoming more involved. They've sold arms to regional players, armed drones and built military facilities in places like Djibouti. We also saw recently with regard to the Sudan conflict, the 43rd People's Liberation Army Naval Task Force which normally is engaged in anti-piracy patrols off the Gulf of Maine. So how do you anticipate this security dimension falling out over the near to middle term? Are there indicators that would point to greater security involvement and a larger security footprint? What's your sense there? Thank you, Bo.
