Lizards from tropical islands tend to thermal regulate more than lizards from the latin american mainland. The rate of heat tolerance evolution is about three and a half times slower on islands than on the mainland. One of the things that's intrigued me about them, probably not surprisingly, giving my interest in invasive, non native species: Some of the anoles are really broadly distributed.
