The Importance of Forest Carbon in the Economy
If we don't put an economic incentive related to the climate value of this forest, unfortunately, we gan continue loosin forest. I think sometimes in the mediam narrative, it's viewed as evil loggers or ranchers. But it is your experience that it's local farmers making local decisions about local livelihoods. Yes, a lot of those landowners actually would love to get paid for restoring and conserving those forests. So if we just make it easy for landowners to get paid for the carbon value of the forest, they will do it.
