The Importance of Primacy in Pop Culture

The whole pursuit of holiness is about responding to an invitation from God. He's the one who's moving first towards us, not just waiting back for us to then step to him. The idea that consolation and desolation depend on our sort of existential judgment depends on how I feel in order to determine where I stand in relationship to God. But because emotions are fickle, it could be that we're just having a bad day or good day. That doesn't determine the state of our spiritual life and our relationship with Christ.
