Testing has really enabled us to optimize the performance of the system. In industry, in science, in academia, everyone would benefit from having more embedded tests in place. It's not a panacea, you're not going to anticipate all possible failure modes but it definitely helps catch many of the obvious ones. So I think it's just a great concept.
