The Second Set of Balls

Thomas Thurna says that criticism hides in the shadow of praise and also that you are entering a judgmental frame of mind whenever you are using either praise or criticism. He offers two analogies to help us understand the nature of Judgmental versus Nonjudgmental Minds. The first analogy shows how self-one operated always looking for approval and wanting to avoid disapproval this subtle ego mind sees a compliment as a potential criticism it reasons if the pro is pleased with one kind of performance he will be displeased by the opposite. Timothy Galway gives us an example of three men in a car who see things the way they're driving along then they see a naked lady crossing the road.
