The History of the Universe

We have an amazing view of the entire universe, all 40 billion light years wide. And we've made a lot of progress in understanding what those things are and how far away they are. But important questions still remain about our own universe - including how it formed. We do know that the universe is very, very old, just as the ground under our feet is old.
