How Did You Start a Hosting Company?

I was deterred from hosting because almost as an affiliate in many of the cases, you would make more money up front. So I started doing the something like teach you how to start blog type stuff and did some affiliate there instead of promoting my own hosting back then. And then heard about WP curve's managed services and I was like, you know, I really like that. Like I like that more than doing full build outs which is just a long drawn out process that I decided I didn't really enjoy.
