The Sketchbook Is the End

The journey and the path is the point. The means are the ends. This is something that I was thinking about recently, but there's all this talk around AI art and art that is produced by a computer. What I find sort of quote unquote troubling about it is that we are becoming more predicated on the product that is created. We are divorcing ourselves even further from the process of making art. And the entire joy of doing it is in the doing of it and not necessarily to be preoccupied with the product. So can you express yourself just as easily when you have in the back of your mind that this is supposed to not just be raw ideas but a finished piece?
