Tillex's Appeal to African American Religious Scholars

Tillex appealed to so many, especially African American religious scholars. Tillex thought resourced ways of characterizing the religious dimensions of what Henry Mitchell famously described as folk religion. This was discerned by so many black scholars as a direction with the emancipatory possibilities of overcoming a suffocating Eurocentrism in theology and religious reflection.
