Make sure you have a calendar up on your wall. When i was moving, when i lived in sacramento, there was a weekly newspaper magazine that would come out. It's just likea music, arts and culture weekly magazine. Almost every big city has one. And i would just open it up, look at the accolendar, see what's coming up for this week or this month,. circle everything that looked interesting to me, and i would put on my calendar. Usually a couple of days before i might get pretty excited about going to something, i might call up someone.
