Spanish Art History

Rick Steves: Madrid-based tour guide Federico Garcia Barroso and art historian Jean Openshaw are introducing us to the great visual arts of Spain. Mandy has emailed us from Morgantown in West Virginia, and she was thrilled to visit Madrid and Barcelona a few years ago during a backpacking trip around Europe. One of my most memorable moments was viewing Diego Velasquez's Las Meninias at the Prada Museum in Madrid,. And then going to the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, viewing 44 interpretations of that same Velasquez work that Picasso painted.
