The Effects of Affirmative Action on Student Success

There are theories that Seoul has about the use of affirmative action that I can't test because I don't have the right data to test them. The expectation is that when affirmative action ends and black and Hispanic students flow into less selective schools, they should match better. That's not what happened in California in the mid 1990s. And if you just line up, black and Hispanic 18 year olds who were applying to the University of California in the years before 1998 and then the years after 1998, what you see is that black andHispanic students became less likely to earn college degrees.
