The Arrival of Lady Spring and Easter Wonders

With Easter around the corner, many of us remember our parents telling us about the Easter Bunny coming to deliver treats and chocolate eggs. I never knew the Bunny had a folktale about his origins, which I found by accident when I was looking at spring stories to read. So tonight, you’ll hear the charming story of the Easter Rabbit from an old German folktale and how he came to deliver treats for children.

I’m also reading a couple of Spring poems, and you’ll hear the fairytale of The Snowdrop by master storyteller Hans Christian Anderson about how the Snowdrop became Spring's messenger.
