The Winter Solstice

The winter solstice is the shortest day, longest night of the year. Andrew Collins and Rodney Halley used astronomical data going back 11,000 years to find an alignment at Carahan Tepe in Israel. The site has a lot of symbolism related to serpents that are found all over it. It's by far the oldest solar alignment anywhere on the planet.
