Is the Imperial Self a Parental Figure of Authority?

The Imperial self strove to take almost the role of a parental figure of authority, like they're carving out this new reality. The infantile self lives off that comfort and assumes it is normative. And its expectations are inflated when not met. So it rages against the paternal figure, the Imperial self, even though the Imperial self is providing for it.
