The Effects of Shoe on Running Performance

The mechanics were pretty much all the same, it didn't change a whole lot. In rear foot strikers with less shoe there was a little bit less sort of involvement at the ankle which is counterintuitive because you're not really using your calves as much in forefoot striker. So again, to me it's not really driven by shoe, it's more driven by the resulting change in strike pattern, any shifts in those things. I think for clinicians certainly if they get their hands on a paper is and may not know these things that always look for in footwear.
