The Power of Whistling

Ostevald writes some of the emotions that accompany the act of whistling would appear to result from wishful thoughts and magical pantasies in the mind of the whistler. Whistling, like other noises he makes, may thus be sociated with fantasies of omnipotence, which, unless corrected by reality, can lead to delusions of grandeur. Ah, this was really interesting to me, because think about how many things we've already looked at where there's some belief that, like whistling, gives you power to, like, change the external world. So it's, i can see where weu can have a lot of connection between the two here.
