My version of this is that this is a contest therefore two theories. Three one is the genes have no influence on us at all because we are universal explainers. The feelings being the most important example of how the genes can give us pleasure, pain and coerce us to do what they want us to do. Of these two theories, theory two is the objectively better theory. That's an objective reality that we have to deal with. It doesn't make it the right theory, but it's a step in the right direction"
