The Four Cycles of Bleeding
Stephanie Coontz: We live in a very linear world. And it can be really hard for us because we are all of us sort of made to live that cyclical cycle. So when mother moon is dark in the night sky that correlates to typically when we're bleeding, it also correlates to the archetype of crone and winter. To start with the first thing I suggest to women when I'm working with them is figure out what your day one is. That's the first day you bleed. Even if you're not actively bleeding or you're not bleeding in a way that you feel like you can track your menstrual cycle then figure out what day is the dark crone moon
