The Importance of Imagination in Modern Culture

Owen Barfield's work is focuses on language itself. He says he has a book called History in English Words where he talks about words as kind of like fossils of consciousness that we can kind of by tracing their movements and we can see how kind of like man's collective consciousness has changed. And I feel like in your introduction, you're sort of making reference to that as well when you talk about sort of modern culture being a sort of conspiracy to kind of keep the real at bay from us. Right.
