Elixir, Scala and Scala - The Biggest Challenge
The Royal Bank of Canada is using Elixir to build a data store for the entire trading ecosystem. It was not enough to just say use a database, it needed to be replicated across all the data centers. We wanted to make sure that the system was up and running 24 hours before any major releases were due. The big problems is when going out this is the network; you want to reduce your network hops typically.
